Will the world really end on December 21,2012?

It is the dooms day that is foretold in the Mayan Calendar, the Chinese Oracle I Ching and even an intenet based prophetic software program, 2012 the date that is prophesized as the end of the world. There are many reasons why we should believe that the world will end.

But is there any science behind it? Could ancient oracles truely predic the future? Can you believe it? The answer could affect all of us.

Galactic alignment

Some sky-watchers believe 2012 will close with a "galactic alignment," which will occur for the first time in 26,000 years

In this scenario, the path of the sun in the sky would appear to cross through what, from Earth, looks to be the midpoint of our galaxy, the Milky Way, which in good viewing conditions appears as a cloudy stripe across the night sky.

Some fear that the lineup will somehow expose Earth to powerful unknown galactic forces that will hasten its doom—perhaps through a pole shift or the stirring of the supermassive black hole at our galaxy's heart.

Others see the purported event in a positive light, as heralding the dawn of a new era in human consciousness.

What is Galactic alignment? What causes it? Will it cause complete destruction of the world?

Pole Shift

Posted in , ,

The entire mental of the Earth will be shifted in the matter of a day, perhaps hours changing the positions of south and north poles causing  worldwide disasters. Earthquakes would rock each and every continent. Massive tsunamis would cause destructions to coastal cities. It would be the ultimate planetary catastrophe.

Could a violent and sudden slippage of the Earth’s crust over its molten core spell doom for civilizations? Here are three early pole shift theories exactly how each proposed the world end.
In 1842, French mathematician Joseph Adhemar proposed that a melting and sudden collapse of the polar ice caps would destabilize Earth’s center of gravity, spawning a global tsunami.

Hopi
Some of the most specific prophecies come from Hopi tribe of the American South West. The Hopi believe that the world has been created and destroyed for four times and we are about to see the destruction of the fourth world.

1st world: ended when all of the volcanoes of the world erupted and an all consuming fire engulfed and destroyed the first world.

2nd world: ended when the poles shifted and the earth was covered in ice. Mountains fell into oceans and seas.

3rd world: ended when the waters flooded the world.  Large continents sunk and broke apart into small islands. The Choosen were warned by the Spider Woman and built large boats out of reeds. In fact, similar traditions of a worldwide catastrophe exist among peoples of all continents including Scandinavians, Greeks, Egyptians, Hebrews, Sumerians, Babylonians, Persians, Hindus, Fiji Islanders, Eskimos, native North and South Americans and many other sources.

Nostradamus predicted that world would come to an end in 2012. Interestingly, it also coincides with the predictions of impending apocalypse made by prophets of several religions, all across the world. This has been a single isolated incidence in the history of mankind where all the prophecies regarding Armageddon point to a specific date in the future, 21st December, 2012! So, what exactly will happen in 2012?

Nostradamus
You are probably wondering why the very date 21st December 2012 has been selected as Doomsday? Well, this is the day when according to the Mayan calendar, it completes it's thirteenth cycle. That day will mark the 5125 year long cycle of the the Mayan Long Count calender. Nostradamus predictions 2012 end of the world theory states that a Comet, called the NIBIRU, will hit the earth and cause great destruction in the year 2012. This comet will also start the Third World War. When the comet hits the earth surface or the sea bed, nearly the whole of Asia will be flooded. There will be a Tsunami, in front of which the Tsunami of 2004, will seem like a small tiny puddle. After the comet hits the earth, the earth will lose it's orbit around the sun and massive earthquakes are going to hit the earth. The polar ice caps will start melting because of the excess heat and global warming will become a major issue.

DO you think his 2012 predictions will come true?

Super Volcano

Super volcanoes are no ordinary volcanoes. They are substantially larger than the common volcano and produce the biggest and most deadly eruptions on earth. Yellowstone Volcano is one of the biggest and most realistic of the 2012 predictions. Scientists will tell you today that Yellowstone is overdue for a volcanic eruption, thus leading to the theory that 2012 could be that date. An eruption from this supervolcano could be catastrophic, as it is estimated to be 1,000′s of times more powerful than a regular volcano The explosion will fill the atmosphere with ash, blocking the sun and plunging the Earth into a frozen winter that could last up to 15,000 years. The pressure under the Yellowstone is building steadily, and geologists have set 2012 as a likely date for the big bang.

Threat of the apocalypse also comes from more familiar source, the Bible. The Bible’s track record for accurate prophecy is legendary. The books of revelation predict an apocalypse in the future and some say it is happening now. It is filled with terrifying images and it is all about the apocalypse, and the coming of the end, the final battle of good versus evil.

Does the Bible specify the date?

I Ching Coin
The identical dooms day date can be found in the one of the China’s oldest text called I Ching or the Book of changes which is approximately 5000 years old.
Terence Mckenna studied the fascinating numerology behind the I Ching The 6 lines and 64 possible combinations was expressed as ratio of change in each hexagram and plotted on a graph. Then he mapped that graph over a time line. The graph would fit perfectly over the timeline and in doing so, the end of the graph lined up upon December 22, 2012.
Does the ending of Mckenna's time line mean the end of the world?

Ancient predictions might seem hard to believe but what if the prediction is done by modern science technology which most of us are not aware of. The newest version of the 2012 dooms day prophecy comes from oracle which is not even a human. Its designers call it the web bot project. It is a program to predict possible futures. It predicts future events by tracking keywords entered on the Internet.
The Web Bot has gained most of its notoriety for contributing to the 2012 phenomenon by predicting that a cataclysm will devastate the planet in the year 2012, possibly a reversing of Earth’s magnetic poles or a small series of nuclear attacks leading up to a major attack during the year.
But once again should we believe such an internet based program predicting end of the world?

The ancient Mayas of central America created the calendar so precise that it could predict lunar eclipses literally thousands of years in the future. Yet the Mayan calendar mysteriously ends on one date, December 21, 2012. The date December 21st, 2012 A.D. (13.0.0.0.0 in the Long Count), represents an extremely close conjunction of the Winter Solstice Sun with the crossing point of the Galactic Equator (Equator of the Milky Way) and the Ecliptic (path of the Sun), what that ancient Maya recognized as the Sacred Tree. This is an event that has been coming to resonance very slowly over thousands and thousands of years.
