When we talk about the Mayan Calendar something profoundly different is also meant than just a system to mark off the passage of time. The Mayan Calendar is above all a prophetic calendar that may help us understand the past and foresee the future. It is a calendar of the Ages that describes how the progression of Heavens and Underworlds condition the human consciousness and thus the frames for our thoughts and actions within a given Age. The Mayan Calendar provides an exact schedule for the Cosmic Plan and the unfolding of all things that come into existence.

Who are Mayans?

Living Mayans

The Mayans were found to be a very highly developed civilization. They lived in the jungle of Mexico and Central-America. The Mayan culture was the most developed culture in the whole of ancient America. This culture ruled Peten's and Jukatani's peninsula for thousands of years. The Mayans were very intelligent as evidenced by their books, canendars, study of astronomy, and number system.
They were also astronomers and had a great deal of understanding about the movement of the stars to the point that they were able to predict the positions of stars thousands of years in advance. Not only that, but they developed a calendar system based upon the movement of the stars that would go on to
regulate the way that they ran their lives. They had accurately measured the length of the year by the sun, to a far higher degree than any European civilization, and had made hugely precise observations of the heavens.

The ancient Mayas of central America created the calendar so precise that it could predict lunar eclipses literally thousands of years in the future. Yet the Mayan calendar mysteriously ends on one date, December 21, 2012. The date December 21st, 2012 A.D. (13.0.0.0.0 in the Long Count), represents an extremely close conjunction of the Winter Solstice Sun with the crossing point of the Galactic Equator (Equator of the Milky Way) and the Ecliptic (path of the Sun), what that ancient Maya recognized as the Sacred Tree. This is an event that has been coming to resonance very slowly over thousands and thousands of years.

Does end of Mayan calendar mean end of the world ?
